GAS SALES MANAGER

Manage residue gas sales portfolio from ONEOK's various gathering and processing (G&P) assets in order to achieve maximum value possible. Develop short and long term gas marketing and trading strategies including the acquisition and optimization of pipeline transportation capacity. Develop and maintain markets and customer relationships across multiple pipelines and regions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Responsible for the short and long-term negotiation, optimization and administration of production gas sales and transportation contracts.
Responsible for accurate daily input and monthly sales summary of G&P gas management system.
Responsible for identifying and developing new market prospects.
Prepare economic models, perform calculations, conduct analyses and present evaluation of new or potential gas sales opportunities.
Interact with Commercial, Schedulers, Gas Control, Operations and Accounting to optimize ONEOK’s production and assets to achieve maximum value for ONEOK.
Develop a full understanding of regional market places and identify and develop relationships with the key market counterparties, including interstate and intrastate pipeline personnel.
Research new business opportunities through analysis of production and transportation requirements.
Monitor market intelligence information: supply, demand, weather patterns, economic environments, industry publications and all things likely to influence marketing strategies.
Responsible for understanding our commodity risk policy and remaining compliant to that policy and all laws governing our trading and marketing activities.
Analyze, review, monitor and/or prepare reports and information, including but not limited to:
Gas sales and purchase contracts
Request for proposals
Pipeline grid and physical marketplace
Gas sales summaries
Pipeline imbalance statements, both daily and monthly
Interacts, negotiates and coordinates with potential and existing customers.
Responsible for marketing and transportation activities including conducting presentations, preparing venture summaries, proposals and maintaining account relationships.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, accounting or other related field with previous job related experience or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:
Experience and thorough knowledge of natural gas marketing and trading, gas purchases, scheduling, physical gas flows, gathering systems and pipeline infrastructure.
Experience and training related to:
Critical thinking skills
Physical movement of natural gas
Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Application of basic math, algebra and statistical formulas.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Experience reading and interpreting policies, contracts, tariffs, industry publications, gas price surveys, reports, correspondence and governmental regulations.
Experience researching, analyzing and resolving issues related to agreements, contracts, regulations, policies and procedures.
Experience developing and preparing proposals, contracts, agreements, marketing materials, reports and correspondence applicable to position.
Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.
Experience interacting, directing, advising, and communicating effectively with management, customers and employees.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Certification and Licensing
- Applicable driver's license required for travel to other locations.
- Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and to other business locations.
- Sufficient to perform job duties.
