Providing support for the NGGP Plant and Pipeline operations & maintenance, on-going and pending construction activity and additional assets on the system. Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health, CSP or ASP preferred, or other related field with previous job related experience or an equivalent combination of formal education and 2 - 5 years job related experience preferred.
Job Profile Summary
Uses extensive safety and health experience to analyze, develop and identify safety and health (S&H) improvement opportunities. Implement S&H programs and processes to meet regulatory compliance requirements and ONEOK's Environmental, Safety, and Health Management System Framework expectations. May act as a lead to less experienced safety and health colleagues.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provide professional health and safety support and/or manage health & safety programs for NGGP OFS operating assets, including but not limited to:
Identify and communicate health & safety risks and regulatory requirements making recommendations
concerning applicability of regulations.
Develop and implement systems, programs and/or guidelines around the Key Drivers, EH&S Key Risks/Key Controls and Environmental, Safety & Health Management System Framework.
Track and communicate H & S performance measures (leading and lagging)
Ensure required health and safety training is available, developed, conducted and documented.
Agency interface during agency inspections
Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and the development of corrective action plans
Support DOT Transportation concerning commercial vehicles (drivers & equipment, inspections & audits).
Provide support for Industrial Hygiene programs (noise, asbestos, NORM, etc.,) as applicable.
Support construction activities on the pipeline or facilities through coaching, auditing, reviewing and implementing controls and/or procedures to ensure the health and safety of employees and contractors.
Develop, maintain and implement procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide information, consultation, and/or advice to area management, employees, customers, and facility contractors to ensure health and safety.
Assist in the development of engineering and administrative controls to eliminate hazards and causes of exposures, accidents and loss events and to reduce the probability or severity of injuries and illnesses.
Develop, analyze, and implement goals, ideas, and opportunities that support the continuous improvement
of company Safety & Health performance.
Interact with all levels of the organization to ensure identified Safety and Health goals and objectives are met and administered.
Knowledge and understanding of Emergency Response Plans and utilization of the Incident Command System for emergencies and/or crisis management situations.
Contractor management – provide assistance in selection, review and on-site evaluation of contractors.
Assist in the Process Safety Management processes by providing support, coaching, review and training of PSM elements such as; Process Hazard Analysis, Incident investigation, Training, Contractors, Mechanical Integrity, Hot Work, Management of Change, Emergency Planning & Response and Compliance Audits.
- Bachelor's Degree in environmental, safety, and health or related field
Extensive experience monitoring, analyzing, and making recommendations relative to compliance with safety and health governmental regulations and industry best practices
Experience composing, compiling, and preparing reports and correspondence
Experience interacting, advising, training and communicating effectively
Experience developing information and making presentations
Extensive experience in the use and function of environmental, safety, and health instrumentation, tools and equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas
Knowledge of: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations – General & Construction Industry, Industrial hygiene, and ESH Management System principles
Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information in writing and verbally; conduct oral presentations
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Sales Professional (CSP) preferred
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred
