JOB SUMMARY

The Supervisor of Pipeline Operations role is responsible for the frontline leadership of the pipeline operators team for the East Custer/Western Oklahoma Area. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling operations of gas gathering pipelines. The Supervisor of Pipeline Operations reports directly to the Area Manager and will be expected to work with all area leadership to effectively plan and schedule resources necessary for execution of activities with a focus on the minimization of customer impacts and maximization of productivity. In order to fulfill these responsibilities in the most effective manner, the Pipeline Operations Supervisor is empowered to manage work prioritization, draft job plans, acquire materials, and solicit bids from contractors.

Job Profile Summary

Supervises and directs employees engaged in activities related to maintenance, operations, and measurement of gathering and/or pipeline system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, and/or assist employees performing pipeline operations, measurement, and maintenance activities on gathering and/or pipeline system including compressor stations, dehydration facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment

  • Coordinate system improvements and modifications and other special projects

  • Compile, prepare, and/or analyze various reports and documents including but not limited to:

  • O&M capital budgets

  • Measurement documentation

  • Balance reports

  • AFE’s

  • Construction drawings and maps

  • Determine materials required for operations and prepare appropriate purchase requisitions

  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements, preparing appropriate documentation

  • Provide information and/or assistance to management and employees regarding daily work activities, scheduling, operational changes, etc

  • Knowledge of: pipeline operations, maintenance, measurement, and related equipment

  • Knowledge of: computers and applicable spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Knowledge of: and/or training related to: transmission and/or gathering system operations; company/governmental operating, environmental, and safety procedures; emergency response procedures; communications

  • Ability to: monitor pipeline activities and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures

  • Ability to: interact, advice, and communicate effectively

  • Ability to: train, direct, and/or supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures

  • Ability to: compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence
